In the Gray

I think I'm going to start coloring my hair. Nothing drastic or dramatic. Just something to give my hair a little more sheen and depth, oh YES and to inadvertently color over my gray hairs. What a joy.. 21 with gray hairs. Fabulous, eh?

Any thoughts? Should I try something new or just keep on keepin on??

i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Bubbles

Who would want a giant diamond ring when they could have this?? It's truly amazing. Sara and I discovered this ring months ago and have not been able to forget about since. It is from Tiffany's and goes by the name of Bubbles. I think it's gorgeous and would forgo any other ring or piece of jewelry if I could have this one ring.

Well, Andrew and I were browsing online one day and of course I just had to show him this ring. Well he had a good point, "how do you know this is the ring you want if you've never tried it on?" So, with that asked, I vowed that the very next time I went into the city (San Francisco), I would have to stop and find try this ring on. And let me just say, after trying on the ring I love it even more. It's spectacular and looks fabulous.

This has to be one of the best singles ads ever printed.
It is reported to have been listed in the Atlanta Journal.

SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me. Call (404) 875.6420 and ask for Daisy, I'll be waiting...

News and Things..

I'll be completely honest, I don't entirely feel up to writing a post right now but I felt the need. It's been quite some time, well... a lot of time since I last typed away. So I've come to the thought that an update would probably be a good thing :)

So to revisit the style of an older post, I'm going to cliff note this some with elaboration, if I may.

1. Boys=Andrew. (tall, handsome, the works.)
Somehow I managed to find one of the very few nice, Portuguese boys still around. He's from Hilmar, drives a ginormous truck with ever expanding tires, is an engineer, has soccer in his blood, has graduated from Fresno State, and constantly makes me smile. No, I have not compared him to "the list", so please don't ask.

2. Work=going well. busy as usual.
I just received a raise. Actually this will be the second raise I've received in the last year. It's nice to know my hard work has been appreciated and, of course, the little bit of extra cash flow is awfully nice. (I'm thinking new shoes.)

3. School=eh.
Tired of it already. I'd like nothing more that to be done with it. I'm far from the greater good of done but one step at time and that day will hopefully come. It's going well, classes persist, as well as tests. So on, so forth.

4. Giants=out of season. oiy on the past season though.
Sigh.. All in all. It was a fabulous season. I managed t make it to six, count em SIX games. Never having been before, it was truly amazing. AT&T Park is remarkable. I will, and am telling all of you that even if you aren't a baseball fan, try to make it out to a game. The park itself will so all the talking. It's beautiful. The city, the atmosphere, along with the fans, and players, and food (Go Gilroy Garlic Fries!) will make you want to keep coming back. So here's to next season, hopefully Lowry and Lincecuum will return (I sure hope so, anyways).

5. Family=still incredibly nutty, yet extremely loving.
The fact that my parents keep me laughing is really a good thing. As much as they astonish me and get on me or to me, they constantly keep on my toes and I wouldn't want it any other way. It's hysterical that my mom starts snoring trying to stay awake watching a movie with me and that my dad knows more about the news from Portugal than that news from California. They're great and I don't think I would want it any other way. My brothers are just that, crazy older brothers.. But the nephew and niece are ever adorable. Ava does it all now. At two and a half, she walks the walk and talks the talk. Really! It's amazing. And Ethan is almost seven and makes me feel old. Yep, that's right. O-L-D, old. I especially love that I can get them riled up then pass them back to mom and dad.

6. Friends=ever amazing.
Through thick and thin, all of you have been there for me and I want to really thank you for that. I can't say I would have made it this far without every single one of you.

7. Life=pdg @ the moment.

And lets see... Up ahead, I'm hoping a slight get away over the Thanksgiving weekend. Looking very forward to snow (Andrew hopes he can teach me to ski and snowmobile, we'll see how that goes). Christmas is right around the corner, it's a magical time of year and I'm really looking forward to it. Especially spending it with friends and family.

I'm hoping to get pictures up for you guys, soon. I miss pictures (sort of broke my camera, but working on it).

Oh and a couple of side notes, Sara turned me on to the band Barcelona, they're pretty good. Come on people, do your thing, check them out. (www.wearebarcelona.com) AND if you're looking to watch a good movie, I highly recommend the Departed and/or Fracture. Both are really good, Really Good.

LIFE

"Don't go through life, grow through life."
--Eric Butterworth

So maybe it's just that his last name is Butterworth and I instantly thought of Mrs. Buttersworth and maple syrup for pancakes and waffles, oh who knows what actually draw me to the quote. It's good and to the point, which I like. So here is me sharing it with all of you. Enjoy, and have great evenings and/or days. Much love.

RED

This is going to sound really absurd, but I would really love to have a red Swingline stapler (just like Milton's in Office Space). I love them. They work really well and are red. I know, I'm weird.

In sadness and tears

I would love to say I have nothing to write, but that just wouldn't be true. I have so much on my mind that it wanders, to near and far places. To things that make me sad and lead me to cry or to moments I truly wish I could relive over and over again. The truth is, I don't know what to write. Nothing seems right. I've started this post about four different times only to delete and start again each time. So for tonight, there will be no life update or kooky story. Just this, because it feels right.

I miss my godmother. Just miss her presence. She was a truly remarkable woman. She's inspired me in so many ways, that it only saddens me to know that I will never be able to thank her for all that she done for me. She was what is truly a one of a kind human being. No one will ever fill her shoes or parallel her likeness. If anything, I can only hope that I will enjoy and live my life to the fullness and happiness that she was able to experience in her too short of a lifetime. So this is to her. May she be in a far better place.
